Oh la là! Barcelona's French-speaking film festival has celebrated its third edition in a hybrid way, that is to say, with both a face-to-face and an online format.
The Festival, initially planned for March, was postponed and has finally taken place from the 1st to the 8th of October 2020.
The on-site sessions followed a protocol to comply with sanitary measures (50% capacity, masks, safety distance between seats, orderly entry and exit...) and have been a great success since all sessions have been filled to 90 or 100%.
The online version has been celebrated through the Filmin platform with a great reception and above all, it has allowed to reach a wider audience.
The winning film of the competition has been without a doubt “ANTIGONE” by the Canadian Sophie Deraspe, who has won the prize of the Jury, the Young Jury and the Public.
This original festival has had the virtual presence of its guests and its godmother of honor, due to the health situation. Original virtual projections by the directors Myriam Verrault (Kuessipan), Antoine Russbach (Ceux qui travaillent) and Mehdi Barsaoui (Bik Eneich: Un fils) were included.
In addition, the directors of the Oh la là ! festival, Mélody Bréchet and Ana-Belén Fernández have committed themselves to the 50/50** Collectif which supports parity and diversity in film and audiovisual festivals.
NuvoBarcelona, official sponsor for the 3rd consecutive time
NuvoBarcelona is proud to support French culture through events like this due to the internationalization of the company. The French-Israeli origin of the founder and the artistic sensibility of our properties is in tune with the festival.
Our main concept is to revalue Barcelona and preserve its cultural heritage through the refurbished buildings while maintaining its essence. For this reason, year after year we bet on Oh la là ! as sponsorship and collaboration.
For us, it is a very unique event that is in line with our values and our positioning as a real estate "boutique". Both are unique projects, which seek excellence and differentiation, beauty and quality. Oh la là ! brings us different auteur films, of various film genres and of French-speaking origin, supporting gender equality in this sector and the insertion of new directors with their first films. With these elements, they want to represent a label of quality. "Nuvo" as "Art Nouveau", integrates art, the study of natural light and openings, and architecture in all its realizations. It also takes care of the design, qualities and details.
